Cracked up to be !!!
Teddy Have you bought your new sports car yet ?
Alistair Unfortunately not, I've test driven three different models so far, including the latest Boxster, but none of them really impressed me.
Teddy I'm surprised about the Boxster, because all the motoring mags have been raving about it.
Alistair Well in my view it's definitely not all that it's cracked up to be.
Teddy Well what are you going to do next ?
Alistair I'll probably wait until the new 911 turbo comes out. The rumor is that it will be something really special.
Explanation :

Cracked up to be - Reputed to be. ( This expression is always used in a negative way. )

Example : I don't think this book is all it's cracked up to be.

On the verge of bankruptcy

We slept through our alarm

Things look pretty pricey

These things are name brands

All messed up

You'll see the light

Have a one-track mind

Put you out

Get decked out

Keep up with

I'm beat

Get a load of that

Brain freeze

When it comes to haggling

It seems to be catching on

I'm up for that

I'll pass
