Well, she said just as we have a family get-together at Christmas
they do the same in China at New Year. |

Of course. On New Year's day, for example, they eat a special
vegetarian dish with several different ingredients. They'll also eat
a whole fish. |

What's the point of all that ? |

Well it's all to do with bringing wealth and prosperity to the family
in the coming year. The names of all the foods sound the same as
words connected with money and good fortune. |
