Mary had been preparing for her exams for months, but on the day of the test, she woke up feeling terrible. Her head was pounding, her throat was sore, and she had a fever feeling hot and shivery.

Despite feeling awful, Mary decided to go to school and take the exam anyway. She knew how much effort she had put in and didn't want to waste all her hard work. She arrived at school early, feeling nervous unsettled and anxious, but determined to do her best.

As she sat down to take the test, Mary found that her concentration was off. She struggled to focus on the questions, and her mind kept wandering thinking about unrelated things. Mary did her best to push these thoughts aside and focus on the task at hand.

When the exam was over, Mary left the classroom feeling relieved but exhausted. She knew that she hadn't done her best, but she was proud of herself for trying making an effort.
